What a lovely day! Jason and I enjoyed an amazing tour of the Mondavi Winery in Oakville, CA.

My love trying some of the grapes. They tasted like candy!

The vines we were tasting from were all past harvest, so the sugar level was pretty high.

to his right is Noel. Our tour guide. He really knew his stuff and was REALLY into it. He did the Italian hand thing and everything :)

This is where they process the grapes. Those are all huge oak barrels!

This is where they store the wine. The older the barrel, the finer the wine. Reserve wines, the more expensive kinds, come from the older oak barrels.

Lastly, our wine tasting. We tried four different wines. Our favorite was the dessert wine, Moscato... yum! Try it sometime with chocolate...

We learned a lot... I wish I could remember it all and share it with you.
